RELIANT CLAIMS SERVICE, INC.

John has been a California adjuster since 1989. He obtained his B.A. in Communications from Sonoma State University (an interesting fact, he worked during college as the local television station's weather man). John began his adjusting career at Fireman's Fund Insurance Company in San Francisco and then worked with the firm of Maxson Young & Associates where he adjusted local and international commercial claims.

Many of the losses John handled during this time involved special circumstances, such as the Oakland Hills fire storm, Hurricane Iniki, and post-war damage assessments in Kuwait. John also served as the interim manager of the Toplis & Harding Singapore office and then moved to D.L. Glaze Company, a long established California adjusting firm.

Finally, in a desire to fulfill his own vision of claims services to insurance clients, John established Reliant Claims Service, Inc. in 2002. John currently handles commercial and residential property losses for Reliant Claims Service and serves as an appraiser and expert consultant in various claims disputes and litigation matters. He is also a long standing member and currently an officer on the board of the California Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters.

Kay has been a licensed California attorney (sbn: 148534) since 1990 and she remains an active member of the California Bar. She is also a member of the Texas Bar, as that is her home state.

After obtaining her undergraduate degree from Mills College and then Juris Doctorate from Tulane University law school, Kay began her legal practice in 1990 with the boutique maritime firm of Law Offices of George W. Nowell where she handled insurance coverage and insurance litigation matters. She then joined the firm of Castleman, McFalone & O’Blennis (later The Castleman Law Firm) in Pleasanton, California where she continued to handle the firm’s insurance coverage work and enjoyed a larger litigation practice.

As part of her practice she served as a mediator with the local community mediation agency and served on several area boards including the YMCA and an area Chamber of Commerce. Inspired by John’s vision of a quality insurance claims service, she joined him in starting Reliant Claims Service, Inc. in 2002. Kay handles liability and property claims for Reliant Claims Service, provides client training and certification and multiple litigation consulting services.

Claire has over 15 years of experience as an executive assistant for various international companies. She graduated from York College, United Kingdom, and she is a certificated riding instructor who trained at Yorkshire Riding Center.

Her many years participating in advanced level equestrian eventing (at a three star level for those who understand the rankings) have clearly developed her tenacity and attention to detail. Claire trained at Reliant Claims Service as an adjuster and over the years she has become a key asset of our firm.

While many clients are delighted at her English accent when they first speak with her on the telephone, they are far more delighted when they quickly realize her ready ability to handle their claims issues.

Kristin has been with Reliant Claims Service for roughly four years where she has learned the best claims practices as she trained to be a claims assistant. Her B.F.A in graphic design and past work experiences has given her a keen eye for detail and organization which has been tremendously helpful in maintaining order for our claim services. Kristin also has a great sense of humor that has made for an awesome work environment. She currently still does freelance graphic design work for a multitude of clients.
